My advice is don't assume. Webhow to deal with this simple but potentially dangerous problem. This is how i got my overdrive light. Webmy overdrive light started flashing and all of a sudden it started going into gear real hard. Webthe other day my overdrive light started blinking,well i just kicked the truck in nutral. I have a 2003 ranger edge, 3. 0 automatic. The o/d off indicator is a dual function. Webwhen the overdrive light starts blinking, it indicates a problem. Webwhen you turn the truck off and start it back up the over drive off light does not.
